JM Electrical completes Lovejoy Wharf project

Boston, MA JM Electrical Co. completed project operations at Lovejoy Wharf, a 15-story, 157-residence condominium at Bulfinch Triangle.

Developed by Related Beal and designed by Stantec, The Architectural Team, and Robert A.M. Stern Architects, LLP, the building contains ground-floor retail space in addition to its condominiums. Several residences will feature outdoor terraces, and each of the residences will provide views of Boston Harbor, the Charles River, Downtown Boston and Cambridge. Other amenities include a rooftop terrace, a wharfside health club, fitness studio, resident lounge, library lounge, business center, and more.

Working with a leader in automated building systems, the company installed a complete building automation system to control the heating, ventilation and air-conditioning serving the core of the building, and installed the individual stand-alone temperature control in each of the residences, which range from studios to three-bedrooms. JM were also responsible for the control of the life safety systems including stairwell pressurization and the critical control of the fuel oil feeding the emergency generator.

“It is important with new residential buildings like this that we provide advanced controls for the utmost level of comfort, while at the same time ensuring cost and energy efficiency,” said Niall Black, project manager at JM Electrical. “With the stand-alone controls, residents can regulate their individual HVAC levels to tailor to their specific needs, a critical amenity in today’s luxury condo market.”

Now open to the public, a Boston Harborwalk addition has been built along Lovejoy Wharf. Converse has also opened a retail store adjacent to the condominium. The building will be Boston’s first condo development with no parking spaces due to its proximity to public transportation, as it is located right by North Station.
