Lee Kennedy Co. tops off $16.5m JFK Presidential Library & Museum addition

Lee Kennedy Co. topped off a two-story addition to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum. The project is part of a $16.5 million expansion and renovation that Lee Kennedy is completing for the National Archives & Record Administration.
The 30,000 s/f addition, designed by Einhorn Yaffee Prescott, will house artifacts and documents as well as a new classroom for museum education programs. In addition to the new construction, Lee Kennedy's team is performing 20,000 s/f of renovation within the library and museum. Renovations include archive and artifact storage areas; support space; offices; security areas; exhibit space; the main lobby and gift shop and some deferred maintenance.
Other ongoing work in the company's academic/ institutional market includes projects for The Boston Conservatory; Salem State College; Harvard University and the Winsor School.
