Linear Retail Properties leases 3,117 s/f to Craft Beer Cellar

According to Linear Retail Properties, LLC, Craft Beer Cellar signed a 3,117 s/f lease for the space currently occupied by the 344 apparel shop located at 1241 Centre St. next to Panera Bread in Newton Centre. This is the third location for Craft Beer Cellar, which currently operates in Belmont Center and Winchester. Craft Beer Cellar is a specialty beer shop that offers craft, micro and artisanal brewed beers from around the world with a focus on local breweries. The Newton Centre location will feature New England, national and international beers, a variety of fine wines, "beer food" including sauces and marinades, various cheeses and other snacks. The new location also plans to hold weekly beer and wine tasting events. Joel Kadis, partner of leasing with Linear Retail said, "Craft Beer Cellar will bring a fresh new beer and wine option to the Newton Centre retail triangle. As a Newton Centre resident, I look forward to sampling the many tasty selections that Craft Beer Cellar will offer." Brian Shaw, proprietor of the Craft Beer Cellar in Newton said, "Craft beer has been taking Massachusetts by storm and we are passionate about bringing delicious craft and artisanal beer to Newton. Our entire staff will complete extensive beer certification and wine training, so we'll have knowledgeable staff available to help you choose the right beer or wine for any occasion."

Goldberg of Spire Investments purchases Beverly portfolio for $9.2m

Beverly, MA Jay Goldberg, president and owner of Spire Investments has completed the purchase of four multifamily buildings. The 33-unit purchase amounted to a sale price of $9.2 million or $278,788 per unit. The properties are all located in downtown and consist of one- and two-bedroom units.
