Maine Course Hospitality Group opens the HomeAwhile Hotel

Scarborough, ME Maine Course Hospitality Group (MCHG) held the official opening of HomeAwhile, its premier purpose-built 109-room extended stay hotel. HomeAwhile represents a significant milestone in MCHG’s continued growth as a professional hospitality leader, offering a sophisticated, apartment-style alternative to traditional lodging.

The creation of the HomeAwhile concept and its ownership are the result of a strategic partnership with Opechee Construction, based in Belmont, NH. Leveraging Opechee’s expertise in design-build hospitality projects, the two organizations have collaborated to deliver a unique property that prioritizes both functional longevity and guest comfort.

“This new hotel brand reflects our commitment to designing and building an extended stay hotel unlike no other,” said Sean Riley, CEO of MCHG. “We have intentionally focused on elements that enhance the guest experience by offering a home-like environment where visitors can truly feel at home during their stay, regardless if they are in for one night or 365 nights”.

Designed for modern living HomeAwhile features a variety of apartment-style suites, including king one-bedroom options and two-bedroom unit for maximum privacy. Every suite is crafted for productivity and wellness, featuring:

• Fully equipped kitchens with full-size refrigerators, stove tops, and dishwashers.

• Dedicated workspaces supported by reliable, high-speed internet.

• Comfortable separate living areas with two 65-inch TVs and in-room casting capabilities.

On-site amenities including a well-equipped expanded fitness center, 24/7 laundry facilities and an outdoor recreation area.
