Mulligan appointed chairman of Cutler Associates

According to Cutler Associates, a design and construction firm, long time president Frederic Mulligan, PE, DBIA was named chairman and Ernest (Ed) O'Brien was appointed as president. The appointments are the culmination of a long-planned leadership transition, and were unanimously approved by the company's board of directors.
Mulligan joined Cutler Associates at its inception in 1972, and has held a variety of positions with the firm including serving as president for the past 25 years. He will continue to play an active role in the company, focusing his time and attention on business acquisition, quality assurance, and customer satisfaction. He will also continue his service within the community including his position as board member of the Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport) and director of the Mass Alliance for Economic Development (MAED).
O'Brien joined Cutler Associates in 2007 as executive vice president, operations and has worked to advance the company's integrated design, construction, and estimating activities and enhance Cutler's industry-leading system for single-source project delivery. As president, he will continue to lead the company's design and construction operations to guarantee the highest quality of project delivery for Cutler's clients.

"Ed's leadership and experience are extremely beneficial to the company and to our clients. A graduate of Northeastern University, O'Brien has more than 30 years experience in the design and construction industry. Prior to joining Cutler Associates, he served as the vice president of construction for a major design-build firm.
