NAI Hunneman's Gilkie brokers $930,000 sale of ind. building for Flauto Realty

NAI Hunneman has brokered the $930,000 sale of an industrial building located at 585-607 Middlesex St. to Nobis Engineering, Inc. David Gilkie, senior vice president of NAI Hunneman, represented the seller, Boston-based Flauto Realty. The buyer, Nobis Engineering, Inc., a Concord, N.H. based provider of civil, environmental, and geotechnical engineering and consulting services, represented itself in the transaction. Nobis Engineering will relocate its Mass. office from Lawrence to the Middlesex St. location in Lowell. Nobis will also renovate the property in order to meet green design standards. "The sale of this property is a real boost to the area, as the buyer is making a local commitment by relocating its Lawrence office to Lowell," said Gilkie. "The seller went out of its way to accommodate the buyer, going as far as agreeing to remove the billboards on top of the property. This transaction also proves to be an exciting opportunity for the buyer, as it will be remodeling the building to meet high environmental standards in order to showcase the capabilities of green design." 585-607 Middlesex St. is a two-story, 16,709 s/f light industrial building that rests on a 0.52-acre lot. The property is located closet to the Lowell Connector/I-495 and Rte 3.
