National Association of Realtors names Nahigian as member to its 2025 Professional Development Committee

Newton, MA Rob Nahigian, FRICS, SIOR, CRE, MCR of Auburndale Realty Co., was named by the National Association of Realtors (NAR) as its newest committee member to its 2025 Professional Development Committee.

Kevin Sears, 2025 NAR president made the announcement. His term commences on December 1st, 2024. He will be working to lead the association in his two-year term with professional education development for its members including a strong focus on the GRI curriculum.

Nahigian is the appointed representative of the Counselors of Real Estate as the affiliated member. The Professional Development Committee works to establish through planning and visioning processes the future initiatives for NAR education, to manage the GRI program including the Realtor Institute accreditation process, and to encourage cooperative educational efforts with the NAR societies, institutes and councils, state and local associations and other industry-related organizations. Nahigian is also a long-time instructor and national speaker at various universities, state associations in the GRI program, has been a speaker at numerous NAR, SIOR and CRE national conferences, is a senior instructor at Boston University, MA NAIOP and SIOR. He is a past NAR Commercial Speaker and past Visiting Associate Professor with RealtorU. He is also a past instructor with CoreNet Global, Massachusetts Association of Realtors, Boston’s CBA, past SIOR National chair of education and faculty and past director of real estate studies at Northeastern University. He has spoken as a guest speaker at Harvard, MIT, Lehigh, BAC, Suffolk U, Salem State, and other colleges. He has been awarded 8 instructor of the year awards including MA Educator of the Year, SIOR Instructor of the Year and CoreNet Global’s Top Rated Faculty. He also serves on the MA Licensing Commission Subcommittee of Continuing Education. He wants to focus on commercial education and strengthen the GRI commercial sector and instructor selections offered by State Associations including the New England based state associations and their education divisions.
