Concord, NH North Branch Construction, Inc. completed the expansion and renovation of the Coit Dining Hall and the partial renovation of the Ohrstrom Library at St. Paul’s School.

Work on the Coit Dining Hall began in April and involved the creation of a new ADA accessible entry and the conversion of a sunken private dining room into new men’s, women’s, and unisex toilets. The main upper dining hall received an addition transforming an exterior wall into hand-crafted solid quarter-sawn white oak doors that lead into expanded dining space that can be used as a private dining hall. The new dining area contains windows and a fireplace. North Branch previously completed the renovation of the servery inside Coit Dining Hall in 2012.

In June North Branch began the renovation of the Ohrtstrom Library, converting a computer lab and compact shelving storage area into the Center for Advanced Teaching and Learning (CATL).

The CATL is a centrally located facility on the grounds of St. Paul’s School that will provide faculty with ongoing professional development in current and evolving methods of teaching. The Center includes one classroom, one lab, offices, and a conference room. The classroom and lab feature floor-to-ceiling white board walls with interactive short throw projectors. The renovation included the installation of floor-to-ceiling sliding and swing glass doors and oak doors. This project consisted of critical dimensions requiring laser-sharp precision and attention to detail with the floor-to-ceiling doors.

Both fast-track “summer slammer” projects were completed on time and below budget and design was provided by KMW Architects.
