Manchester, NH PROCON of Manchester, was honored with the Enterprise Bank 2016 Celebration of Excellence “Business of the Year Award,” before 2,000 attendees who packed the Lowell Memorial Auditorium on May 3. PROCON CEO and chairman Mark Stebbins took to the stage and thanked the committee on behalf of his company, while taking a few moments to share what PROCON means as a business. “Our goal is to take the dreams that our customers entrust us with; whether it is a warehouse, senior housing community, or a hotel and turn them into a reality. That is something that brings great pride and joy to our organization.”

The festive event was kicked off with a reception, followed by the opening welcome by Enterprise Bank CEO Jack Clancy, before moving into the award presentation portion of the evening. Motivational speaker, author and activist Travis Roy concluded the night with an inspirational keynote address on the value of goal setting.

The occasion marked the sixth Enterprise Bank Celebration of Excellence Awards – an event that is held every 18 months to recognize successful businesses. The judging committee received hundreds of submissions from companies based in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. An industry cross-section of judges selected the winners in six different categories based on their contributions to the community and industry, innovative business practices or strategies, and proven leadership.

Stebbins is the third generation to own and operate PROCON; that evolved from a small family business started 81 years ago by his grandfather Blanchard Stebbins. Today, it is a $200 million single source design and construction management company, specializing in aviation, commercial, educational, hospitality, institutional, industrial, multi-family residential and senior living projects throughout the Northeast.

The company’s success is due to a highly skilled collaborative workforce, a family-like work environment, a customized approach to client’s success and the high value placed on giving back to the community.

In a final statement that concluded his acceptance speech and captured the mood of the evening, Mark Stebbins said, “We look forward to doing this for a long time to come.”
