Charles Construction Co. assists Northeast Dermatology in expansion

Shawmut installs largest single span glass panel at Herb Chambers

Boston, MA Shawmut Design and Construction celebrated a milestone in its Herb Chambers Jaguar Land Rover project, which is expected to open April 2021. The project team safely and successfully installed some of the largest single span glass panels in the city on the four-story, 200,000 s/f building.  Partnering closely with Salem Glass Company, the Shawmut team installed 20 insulated glass units–each 8 feet wide, 27 feet tall, and more than 1.5 inches thick–over the course of five days.

City Point Partners wins award for MassArt Art Museum project

Boston, MA City Point Partners, a program management firm of renovation and higher education projects, provided owner’s project management services for the MassArt Art Museum (MAAM), a winner of the Construction Management Association of America, New England Chapter, Building Renovation Project of the Year award for projects greater than $20 million. The newly renovated building is a reconstruction of the 25,275 s/f Bakalar and Paine Galleries within the South Building at MassArt, originally constructed in 1906.

Nauset completes 907 Main - a boutique hotel in Central Sq.

Cambridge, MA Nauset Construction completed the transformation of the historic 1870 Whitney, Lucretia and Henry Building into a 67-key boutique luxury hotel located in Central Sq. 907 Main developers Sean Casey, LLC and Hay Creek Hotels hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony on September 23rd to celebrate its opening with city, neighborhood and business representatives in attendance, including city manager Louie De Pasquale, police commissioner Branville Bard, and Mike Monestime, executive director of the Central Sq. BID. 

BOND Building Construction receives CMAA award for South-West Middle School

Quincy, MA BOND Building Construction, Inc. has received a Construction Management Association of America (CMAA), New England Chapter Project Achievement Award for the South-West Middle School. BOND Building accepted the award at the 2020 CMAA-NE Mark H. Hasso Project Excellence and Scholarship Awards Program, held virtually on October 2nd. The 26th annual event was dedicated to the life and legacy of the late Professor Mark H. Whitford joins DPS as life science strategic solutions leader
