DeStefano & Associates completes multiple projects

Hooksett, NH DeStefano & Associates, Inc. (DAI) has completed the design and started construction of a new 2,500 s/f single story building, with site improvements, for a new Starbucks on Rte. 28. Construction is slated to be complete in January 2021.   DAI has also completed Phase Three of improvements for The Seacoast Repertory Theatre in Portsmouth, N.H.

SVN | Masiello Commercial completes sale of Soapy’s Car Wash

Hudson, NH SVN | Masiello, one of the nation’s premier brokerage firms, has completed the sale of Soapy’s Car Wash and Detail Center, a full service car wash facility on .777 acres at 64 Derry Rd., to Michael Joy and Lindsay Joyce for an undisclosed amount.  Matthew Bacon and Cassandra Farley of SVN Masiello represented the seller, Derry Street LLC, and assisted the buyer in the transaction. 

Brady Sullivan makes $100,000 gift to Catholic Medical Center’s future expansion

North Branch Construction begins work at 401 Mt. Support Rd.

Lebanon, NH North Branch Construction began site work on a Dartmouth College greenfield site located at 401 Mt. Support Rd. for the construction of four apartment buildings, a clubhouse, and an operations building being developed for Dartmouth by Michaels Student Living, LLC of Camden, N.J. The project will be designed, permitted, constructed, owned, and managed by the developer, Michaels Student Living, LLC, with a long-term ground lease from Dartmouth.

Cardente handles 1,960 s/f lease to Maine Needs

Portland, ME According to Cardente Real Estate, Maine Needs has leased 1,960 s/f of retail space located at 332 Forest Ave. This transaction was brokered by Katelyn Rice of Cardente and Katie Allen of Dunham Group which closed October 16th.  Maine Needs is a grassroot nonprofit, powered by a growing collective of volunteers. Noted as an official 501c3 in October, they strive to help individuals and families in Maine.

The Boulos Company completes 27 transactions in October in Maine

Lewiston, ME The Boulos Company completed 27 transactions in October totaling 76,964 s/f leased and over $4.2 million worth of property sold. Some of those transactions are below: • Eyes on Maine, LLC purchased a 9,923 s/f medical office building at 249 Main St. in Lewiston from Kenfred Enterprises, LLC. The buyer purchased the building as an investment property. The transaction was arranged by Chris Paszyc, CCIM, SIOR of Boulos.

Landry/French Construction completes $12 million Schooner Memory Care facility in Auburn, Maine

Auburn, ME Landry/French Construction, one of Maine’s leading commercial contractors, has completed Schooner Memory Care. Landry/French served as construction manager on the $12 million project. Located on an eight-acre site next to Schooner Estates, a senior living community on Stetson Rd., this new 47,600 s/f facility specializes in memory care and assisted living.

Even in this new COVID life we still do run into people we know as we are not entirely secluded. It might be 6 feet apart but we’ll run into people at the grocery store, at soccer practices (yes these kids are playing with masks somehow and not passing out) or at our favorite restaurant for take out.  I’m surprised in how many comments I get about, oh...you work in commercial real estate, or, must be brutal.

Project of the Month: Pugliese Contracting completes 10,000 s/f addition at Windham Woods School on a four-month timeline

Windham, NH Windham Woods School, a non-profit private school for children with mild to moderate learning challenges in grades 1-10, recently completed a 10,000 s/f addition.  When Tom Murray of Pugliese Contracting became aware of the project in its conceptual stages, he offered to make significant donations of time and resources to help make this project possible. One hundred percent of the cost was covered through fundraising with over 103 donors. 

Jewett Construction celebrates beam-raising of 69-unit project

White River Junction, VT Jewett Construction hosted a beam-raising ceremony to commemorate the construction of a new 69 unit residential building on South Main St
