Morse of Hancock becomes Professional Wetland Scientist

Danvers, MA According to Hancock Associates, Devon Morse, a wetland scientist/project manager at the firm, has received her Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS) certification. Morse joined Hancock in 2020 and is responsible for coastal and inland wetland delineations, establishment or restoration of habitats, environmental local, state and federal permitting and project management within the wetland science department.

Williams promoted to executive vice president at Dakota

Beacon Capital Partners earns 12th Energy Star Partner of the Year recognition

MHIC hires Ronayne as chief capital development officer and O’Donnell as director of community investment

Boston, MA Massachusetts Housing Investment Corporation (MHIC), has appointed two executives to its senior leadership team. Elizabeth Ronayne, who joined MHIC on March 6, will serve as chief capital development officer, and Beth O’Donnell, who joined on April 10, will serve as director of community investment. Both bring experience in affordable housing and real estate investment, with a focus on racial equity. They will be instrumental in pushing forward MHIC’s mission to revitalize neighborhoods by investing in whole communities. 

Groundbreaking ceremony held for The Preserve at Olmsted Green

Boston, MA The vision for Olmsted Green and its East and West Campus was ahead of its time nearly 20 years ago when a partnership between the New Boston Fund and the Lena Park CDC was designated as the master developer of the nearly 38.5 acres in Mattapan on the former Boston State Hospital site.

BOMA Boston Update: April Roundtable, BOMI classes and BOMA Springfest

Boston, MA On April 27th, BOMA Boston and the Energy & Environment committee presented a roundtable on Energy & Waste Audits. The event was held at BXP’s Fort Point Room, at Atlantic Wharf which is a zero waste facility. The panel discussion led by Radhika Kanaskar, sustainability program lead, Federal Reserve Bank of Boston offered insight on the different types of energy and waste audits, including ASHRAE and decarbonization.

More than 80 attended the IREM Boston Chapter’s Boot Camp for Property Managers during our April 20th in-person training in Braintree, Mass. Covering a wide range of topics, much time was devoted to the issue of fair housing – very fitting as April is designated as National Fair Housing Month.  While those of us in the property management and real estate industries are well aware of this celebrated month, we could all benefit from a little refresher on its origins.
