MassDevelopment provides $1.25m loan to Bisousweet Confections

Leominster, MA MassDevelopment has provided a $1.25 million loan to Bisousweet Confections, LLC to renovate and buy equipment for its new facility at 554 Willard St., where the company relocated in October 2022. The 20,000 s/f facility is four times the size of its previous location in Shirley, providing needed space for the company to expand operations amid a tripling of sales between 2019 and 2022.

Trader Joe’s to open in Back Bay at 500 Boylston St. with 16,500 s/f retail space

Boston, MA Trader Joe’s has secured approval from the Boston Licensing Board to sell alcohol at its upcoming new store at 500 Boylston St. in Back Bay. The new store will be half a mile from the company’s existing location in the neighborhood. The chain has received a building permit for plumbing work for retail space.
