Shadrick named executive vice president to lead Eastern Benefits Group

Eastern Insurance Group LLC has appointed Matthew Shadrick as executive vice president to lead Eastern Benefits Group, the insurance firm's employee benefits division. Shadrick brings more than 20 years of employee benefits and property and casualty experience to Eastern. He most recently was the national sales director for the Aon Consulting Human Capital Practice where he was responsible for its business development function. As head of Eastern Benefits Group, Shadrick will take over a proven leader in the employee benefits industry and be responsible for guiding it through a time of great change and uncertainty as the new health care laws take effect. "We are excited that Matt is bringing his special abilities, skills and experience to Eastern," said Hope Aldrich, president and CEO of Eastern Insurance. "We are confident that he'll provide the strategic leadership necessary for the continued success of Eastern Benefits Group." Shadrick earned his BA in Business Administration from Michigan State University and an MBA from Northeastern University. He lives in Hingham, Mass. with his wife and three sons. Eastern Benefits Group provides an array of employee benefits plans to businesses, including group health and life insurance, disability insurance, long-term care insurance, and 401(k) plans.
