SIOR NE Chapter will hold its annual R.W. Holmes Scholarship Reception on October 16, 2025

Newton, MA The SIOR New England Chapter will hold its annual private scholarship night on October 16, 2025 at Brae Burn Country Club, starting at 6pm. This will be the 18th R.W. Holmes Scholarship Award Night.

The R.W. Holmes Scholarship Award scholarship is designed to support rising CRE Junior Associates who demonstrate outstanding industry potential. SIOR New England and the R.W. Holmes Foundation believe in investing in the next generation of industry leaders and providing them with the resources to help them succeed. Bob Holmes was a long-time SIOR and chapter president. Garry Holmes, his son and Elizabeth Holmes, Bob’s granddaughter, have continued the legacy as SIOR members and involved with SIOR Chapter events.

The event at Brae Burn Country Club will include cocktails and networking at 6 pm followed by dinner at 7 pm to include special guest speakers and the scholarship award presentation. The key speaker will be Mark Duclos, former SIOR Global President and two younger brokers will follow on their experience with SIOR.

The award is a monetary gift that can be applied to an SIOR education course or SIOR conference. Last year, the chapter committee announced that two real estate agents would be awarded the scholarship, Jay Carnevale, senior associate of Avison Young, Boston and Tyler Capecci senior advisor of 128CRE.
