South Shore Habitat for Humanity to host home
dedication for 808-810 Jerusalem Rd., Cohasset, Mass.

Cohasset, MA South Shore Habitat for Humanity, a nonprofit organization delivering quality affordable housing in partnership with families in need for the past 39 years, will host a home dedication for the newly constructed duplex at 808-810 Jerusalem Rd., on Wednesday, September 10, at 5 p.m. Members of the public are invited to attend and join South Shore Habitat staff and volunteers as two families are welcomed to their new homes.

Self-tours of the new home at 810 Jerusalem Rd. are available beginning at 5 p.m., with light refreshments and remarks taking place at The Corner Stop Eatery (two doors down) at 5:30 p.m. RSVPs for this event are requested and can be directed to Natalie Campanella at ncampanella@sshabitat.org or 781-347-3762. 

“We are deeply grateful to all of the donors, foundations, partners, and volunteers who have made possible these two new homes on Jerusalem Rd.,” said Erin McGough, South Shore Habitat for Humanity’s executive director. “In this home dedication we will acknowledge their involvement, while we welcome home two new families. South Shore Habitat is proud to continue our work in providing affordable housing to the local area south of Boston.” 

Major sponsors for the Jerusalem Rd. project include the Town of Cohasset, Ed Roche, Charlesbank Homes Foundation, Mabel Louise Riley Foundation, Saquish Foundation, and the Housing Ministries of New England. 

“It is thanks to the support we receive from our generous donors, devoted volunteers, corporations, foundations, and local communities that we can build homes and change lives,” said Joe Sousa, director of development.

Sheri Green, South Shore Habitat’s construction project manager, said, “There’s nothing more rewarding than the hands-on experience of building a home for a family in need.”
