Suffolk Healthcare to build Fenway Community Health project - $14m

Suffolk Healthcare has been selected as the contractor for the new Fenway Community Health complex. The $14 million fit-out project will encompass 10 floors and 100,000 s/f within a newly constructed facility at 1330 Boylston St. Suffolk Healthcare will coordinate closely with the 1330 Boylston St. base building team, also a Suffolk-led team, to begin interior construction as early as August 2008. The team will complete work in just six months to open the facility to staff and patients in April 2009. The fit-out, designed by architect firm Anshen & Allen, will consist of exam rooms, treatment facilities, therapy rooms and office space for Fenway Community Health. The new building will allow Fenway to bring most of its medical, mental health, research, outreach and advocacy programs together under one roof. Upon completion, Fenway Community Health will be the largest health facility in the nation with the specific mission to serve the lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans-gender (LGBT) community. The Fenway Community Health fit-out is one of many healthcare related building and renovation construction projects currently being managed by Suffolk Healthcare. The Suffolk Healthcare team is also partnering with healthcare institutions such as Brigham & Women's Hospital, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Children's Hospital Boston.
