North Andover, MA Connolly Brothers, Inc. has completed a series of campus renovations at Brooks School, a private, coeducational boarding and day school for students in grades 9-12. Over seven months, Connolly served in multiple capacities, taking on a design-build role to transform the Campus Athletic Center’s McVeigh Court with a new varsity-length court, which involved wood floor refinishing, striping/graphics painting, the installation of abuse-resistant finishes in the gymnasium, and the relocation of a glass entryway.

Boston, MA SGA has hired Lauren Gauthier, AIA, MCPPO, as director of architecture for SGA’s academic team. Gauthier, who brings more than 10 years of architecture and design experience to SGA, is an experienced designer, planner, and registered architect with a focus on strategic planning and design in the academic realm, especially independent schools, and higher education.

Haverhill, MA The recently opened Edwards’ Haverhill facility, which Dacon Corp. provided design/build services for, has won first place at the DBIA New England Awards for vertical construction.

Cambridge, MA The Davis Companies (Davis) celebrated the topping off of a new 161,616 s/f class A lab development at 101 Smith Place. The development is one of four buildings that comprise The Quad life science campus, West Cambridge’s newest hub for innovation and creative thinking. 

Pembroke, MA Acella Construction Corp. has promoted Laura Ceurvels to project manager. In this role, she is responsible for overseeing multiple projects with a focus on higher education assignments including several design and construction projects at Northeastern University and MIT.

Braintree, MA Caritas Communities, a non-profit provider of low-income housing and services with a mission to prevent homelessness, welcomes Keita Browne of Sanofi to its board of directors. Browne is currently the head of finance, U.S. Rare Disease at Sanofi where he is responsible for the end-to-end management of a $1 billion P&L (7 therapies across 5 disease states) and for driving rare disease financial strategy.

Boston, MA Bozzuto Construction Company (BCC), the construction arm of Bozzuto, has promoted Brian Rennie to vice president. In his new role, Rennie will be responsible for overseeing the company’s full project portfolio and construction operations in Greater Boston, as well as all renovation and capital improvement projects throughout Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.

Holliston, MA Construction manager Colantonio Inc. is pleased to announce their recent hire of project superintendents Gregory Coates and James Stallone. Coates joins the firm with nearly 40 years of construction experience as a project superintendent and a BS in Civil Engineering Technology from Wentworth Institute of Technology.

Boston, MA Arcadis DPS Group has hired Chris Oldham as director of project management. Reporting to senior vice president of project operations Paul DePriest, Oldham will be responsible for all operations and projects while managing the DPS office’s expanding team of project management professionals.

Suffolk Construction project executive Libby Murphy has been selected by Construction Dive as one of just a handful of women across the country to receive its 2023 Construction Champions Award.
