Bedford, NH Margaret Levell, EIT has joined TFMoran, Inc. as a civil project engineer. Levell joins TFMoran after graduating with her Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering and Environmental and Natural Resources from Purdue University.

Despite a slow start in the first quarter 2022, the Boston & Cambridge lodging market ramped up quickly, and by year end, the Revenues Per Available Room (RevPAR) reached a 90% index compared to its 2019 (pre-COVID) top line performance. Like many urban gateway cities, the city struggled in its recovery from the negative effects of the pandemic in 2021, as compared to other cities located in warmer climates, which showed strong recoveries one year following the outbreak of COVID in March of 2020.

Trumbull, CT Angel Commercial, LLC assisted Turkey Point Properties, LLC in the purchase of an 18,000 s/f office building on 1.03 acres at 4154 Madison Ave. for $1.938 million. Eva Kornreich, vice president with Angel Commercial, LLC, represented the seller in this transaction, and Keller Williams Realty represented the buyer. 

Boston, MA Redgate, real estate advisory and investment firm, has expanded its senior leadership team with the hiring of Laura Gregoriadis, who will serve as the company’s first CFO, Sharon Lavery, Redgate’s first senior director of human resources and culture, and Brian Mueller, who joins the company as vice president of asset management. The expansion of Redgate’s senior leadership team demonstrates Redgate’s growth vision as the company continues to expand throughout New England, the Mid-Atlantic and Raleigh-Durham markets.

Springfield, MA Paul Bongiorni of SR Commercial Realty has brokered the lease of 7,836 s/f to Cataldo Ambulance Service in downtown.  The property, located at 58-64 Winthrop St., formerly Dale Auto Body, will become Cataldo’s area hub. 

The Federal Reserve’s attempts to control a 9.0% annual inflation rate in March of 2022 led to seven successive rate increases by year-end. While effective, the Fed’s rate increases could prove to be more of a sledgehammer than a scalpel in cooling off the economy and combating inflation.

Concord, NH North Branch Construction has donated the proceeds from the firm’s annual safety fine program to two deserving non-profit organizations – Community Bridges in Concord, and Lakes Region Community Developers in Laconia, N.H. In 2022, the safety fine program proceeds totaled nearly $4,000, resulting in a $2,000 donation to each organization. 

East Boston, MA Tishman Speyer has acquired The Eddy, a recently-constructed, high-rise apartment tower located on the waterfront, from Green Cities Company for $135 million.  Built in 2016, The Eddy features 259 market-rate rental apartments that include a mix of studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom floor plans.

Mansfield, MA JLL Capital Markets has closed the sale-leaseback of 550 Forbes, a single-tenant warehouse totaling 215,575 s/f. JLL represented the seller, FCA US (Stellantis), in the sale, and Berkeley Partners acquired the asset.
