Boston, MA On Thursday, March 14th BOMA Boston held their annual benefit supporting BOMA’s charitable partner – Bridge Over Troubled Waters. The event was held at the UMASS Club at One Beacon St. from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. Over 300 members and guests enjoyed an evening of great networking, food and drink, raffle prizes and an exciting fundraising activity

Boston, MA While IFMA International hosts two international conferences a year, there is not a central day of learning, sharing and networking for the organization on a local basis. Until now. IFMA Boston conceived of the idea for a one day facilities management conference last spring and set their sights on March 27th for the launch of FMFoward at Bentley University.

Concord, NH The CAI New Hampshire Legislative Action Committee (NHLAC) has been tracking numerous bills currently being debated by legislators in N.H. The bills under consideration would impact condominium associations across the state. Below is a summary of those bills and an update on their status as of March 2019.

Marlborough, MA Scott Hughes, president of New Dover Associates, Inc. represented the seller, CIL Cedar LLC in the sale of 225 Cedar Hill St. The property sold for $21 million. The buyer, IPG Photonics Corp., was represented by James Stubblebine, vice president of The Stubblebine Co.

Medford, MA Burgess Properties Inc. brokered the sale of 970 Fellsway, for $25 million. The 287,570 s/f facility on 7.85 acres was the long-term home of Medford Self Storage. It features on-site MBTA bus access, visibility on the Fellsway (Rte. 28), and is near I-93. 

North Haven, CT Following the completion of a new Baltimore Amazon distribution center in 2018, Industrial Caulk & Seal (ICS) was awarded the 1 million s/f Amazon distribution center in North Haven and completed the facility in March.

Westport, CT Washington Trust’s Commercial Real Estate Group provided $17.4 million in financing to Maplewood Gorham Island, LLC, for the acquisition of a class-A office building on Gorham Island. Originally built in 1986, the three-story, 40,897 s/f building is located on a private island on the Saugatuck River.

Falmouth, MA According to Commercial Realty Advisors, Inc., Jeff Eklund, vice president in real estate sales, has listed and sold The Inn on the Sound, an oceanfront Cape Cod bed & breakfast located at 313 Grand Ave.

Brighton, MA On behalf of The Skating Club of Boston, CBRE completed the sale of 1240 Soldiers Field Rd. to The Davis Companies for $26.25 million. CBRE’s Mark Reardon and Matt Furey represented the seller and procured the buyer. 

Boston, MA According to Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, Paul White has joined the firm as a senior project manager. White joins Dewberry with more than 30 years of engineering experience.
