Providence, RI Providence Barbell Club, LLC purchased 479 Washington St. for $865,000. The 4,934 s/f building with the associated parking area will serve as the clubs new location. Providence Barbell Club was located at 715 Branch Ave. 

Portland, ME Portland Art Gallery owner, Kevin Thomas, and gallery director, Emma Wilson, purchased 154 Middle St. for $1.35 million from Peak 5 Equities, LLC. They have operated in this location since 2011. Greg Boulos of the Boulos Company represented 154 Art Ventures, LLC in the transaction. 

Avon, MA Insa, Inc., an independent, Massachusetts-based medical and adult-use cannabis company, has opened its fifth cannabis dispensary in Massachusetts. Chatham, MA Chatham Boat Company, a renowned full-service boatyard, founded by Paul Avellar and Paula St. Pierre in 2002, has recently sold. The sale of Chatham Boat Company, Beachcomber Boat Tours, and the real estate located at 174 Crowell Rd. was finalized on May 22. Coordinating the sale was Brad Kuhrtz and Craig Campbell, both of Commercial Realty Advisors.

Tilton, NH Summit Realty Partners, Inc. arranged the sale of a 6,098 s/f, 135-seat, full-service restaurant building on 3.32 acres. 18 Lowes Dr.(Rte. 3) sold for $1.4 million on June 1, 2023.  Summit Realty Partners, Inc. was approached by the property owner in January 2023 with a requirement to sell or lease the property after discovering that their current tenant was not planning to renew its lease.

Portland, ME East Brown Cow and Malone Commercial Brokers are welcoming the arrival of Bella Funk, a local clothing and gift boutique, to Portland’s historic Old Port. Bella Funk has signed a four-year lease for street-level retail at 43 Exchange St. The 1,717 s/f space is open to the public. The lease was brokered by Pete Harrington of Malone Commercial Brokers. 

Boston, MA Old Corner Christmas, a holiday-themed gift and Boston souvenir store, has leased space in the historic Old Corner Bookstore complex owned and operated by Historic Boston Inc., the active preservation nonprofit organization, in Downtown Crossing. Old Corner Christmas is owned and operated by New York-based N&F Global Corporation and will occupy 1,245 s/f on the ground floor of 11 School St., on the Freedom Trail. 

York, ME Saint Thomas, LLC purchased 317 U.S. Rte. One from MCG Warren, LLC for $3.825 million. Built in 2022, the property consists of two newly-constructed, freestanding retail buildings totaling 10,717 s/f, leased to O’Reilly Auto Parts and Sherwin Williams. The deal closed on June 5.

Avon, MA A new retail concept — BinStar — is gearing up to help consumers find great deals and save the landfills at the same time. BinStar opened its first store on the South Shore on Sunday, June 18th at 10 a.m. at 20 Stockwell Dr.

Dennis, MA Three former Sundae School summer employees have put together a partnership to purchase both Sundae School Homemade Ice Cream locations in Dennisport and Harwich Port on Cape Cod. As teenagers, Michelle White, Michael Kelly and Robert DeMarco worked summers together at Sundae School.
