Whitman, MA JJManning Auctioneers have completed the $2.7335 million sale at an August 29th auction of property on behalf of “Peaceful Meadows”, a 2nd generation family-owned/operated ice cream business on Rte, 18. After many decades in business since 1962, the family chose to divest of these landmark assets owned since the 1920s.

South Portland, ME Malone Commercial Brokers has arranged the sale of 725 Bdwy., a 13,650 s/f retail building. The property, previously owned by FT Holdings, LLC, has been acquired by C725 Broadway LLC in a transaction of undisclosed value. Joe Malone and Jennifer Small of Malone Commercial Brokers brokered the deal, which closed on August 22, 2023.

Portland, ME Reveler Development and their commercial broker, Porta & Company, have arranged a two-year lease for Matcha Mood – a brand-new, matcha-focused café. Matcha Mood at 654 Congress St., with the 640 s/f, street-level space is scheduled to open in September.

Northborough, MA Custom golf club fitter Club Champion has opened its new fitting studio, located at 10010 Shops Way. The store is open and accepting fitting appointments. This is Club Champion’s third location in Massachusetts. Capital Group Properties arranged the 3,100 s/f lease last spring.

Portland, ME The Vermont Flannel Company has opened a new location leasing 1,377 s/f of retail space at 432 Fore St. In May, the company opened its first Maine location at 47 Main St. in Freeport. Expansion into the state is a milestone for the company, marking its first venture beyond the borders of Vermont, where the company currently operates six stores.

Lynnfield, MA MarketStreet celebrates its 10th anniversary the entire month of September, after opening in 2013. Northborough, MA Capital Group Properties has arranged a lease for a new location for the School of Rock, a music education school for all ages, at Northborough Crossing, a premier open-air retail developmen. School of Rock will occupy 3,000 s/f in the development’s out-parcel pad building, and the new location is anticipated to open in late 2023.
