What is one piece of advice or perspective you would share with women beginning their careers in the construction industry? Confidence is powerful and contagious. My advice is to be as prepared as you can possibly be and have the ability to think on your feet,
What do you wish more women knew about the opportunities available in the construction industry today? Construction offers far more opportunity than most people realize – it is not only project management or field operations. The industry values problem-solving, communication, and organization as much as technical skills.
What current or recently completed project, accomplishment or initiative are you most excited about, and why does it matter for your team, clients or community? Our shop in Montville, Maine, just completed a 212-kilowatt ground mount array that is made up of 192 solar modules.
What current or recently completed project, accomplishment or initiative are you most excited about, and why does it matter for your team, clients or community? I recently received my license to practice architecture in the State of Massachusetts.
What current or recently completed project, accomplishment or initiative are you most excited about, and why does it matter for your team, clients or community? I’m excited about my transition to business development at Cranshaw Construction, where I support strategic goals while serving as a connector across disciplines.
What emerging challenge or opportunity do you see shaping the construction industry in the next few years, and how are you preparing for it? One of the biggest opportunities shaping the construction industry is the growing use of data-driven tools.
What current or recently completed project, accomplishment or initiative are you most excited about, and why does it matter for your team, clients or community? While it’s not one single project, I’m most excited about the role I get to play across so many of them.
What current or recently completed project, accomplishment or initiative are you most excited about? I’m especially proud of a recent large-scale dormitory project our team at Annese Electric completed for a private client during a period of growth following our transition to IBEW Local 103.
What do you wish more women knew about the opportunities available in the construction industry today? I wish more women knew that the trades are not the same as it was 20 years ago. Women belong in our industry. Just a few years ago, I was working on the Encore Boston Harbor casino, which had an estimated 500 women on the job

I’m especially proud of the work NECA is doing to strengthen relationships between contractors and our IBEW partners across Greater Boston
