Wayne Griffin Electric wins 3 Excellence in Const. awards
The Wayne Griffin Electric, Inc. New England headquarters was honored with an Excellence in Construction Award from the Mass. chapter of the ABC. For their work on Phase I of the Evergreen Solar project in Devens, Mass., Griffin Electric was awarded the highest honor of an Eagle Award for the electrical contracting under $2 million category. Griffin Electric's senior project manger, Steve Magill, accepted the award on behalf of the Griffin Electric's Evergreen Solar team.
The Alabama representatives of Griffin Electric received two awards from the Alabama chapter of ABC in the annual Excellence in Construction Award competition. A first place excellence award in the electrical contracting over $20 million category, was accepted by Rufus Palmer, Alabama region manager, for the electrical contracting work performed on the Renaissance Hotel and Spa at the Convention Center in Montgomery.
In addition to the excellence award, a merit award was also accepted by the Griffin Electric Alabama team in the commercial electrical contracting under $2 million category for their work on the Pinnacle Lighting of the Retirement Systems of Alabama's Riverview Hotel in Mobile.
