The Gap is laying off hundreds of employees, Bed Bath &Beyond is finished and many others are ailing and failing. Retail is in a wild state of flux. Nothing is certain; yet consumers are still buying goods and most interestingly it has been predicted that brick and mortar is in a period of growth despite the other fact that e-commerce is also predicted to gain more of the consumer spending pie.

Waldman Associates adds My Salon Suites and The Joint Chiropractic to the Walpole Mall

Walpole, MA Dan Waldman of Waldman Associates had previously been successful in leasing the Walpole Mall through 2019. Since then, Waldman has added the following tenants to the mall: Aldi’s Grocery, Five Below, X Golf and CBS Acupuncture are now open, and Duck Donut and Shah’s restaurant will be opening shortly. 

MassDevelopment provides $276,250 loan to Harper Lane Brewery

Middleborough, MA MassDevelopment has provided a $276,250 equipment loan to Harper Lane Brewery LLC to help the company buy brewing equipment for its proposed facility at 16 Wareham St., including a canning line, kegs, a keg washer, tanks, refrigeration, and HVAC wall mount units.

Keypoint Partners awarded property management
and leasing contracts for two retail properties

Lenox, MA Keypoint Partners (KPP) has been awarded the property management and leasing contracts for two retail properties, The Center at Lenox, and Big Y Plaza, West Peabody. The properties were redeveloped by WS Development, who are now transitioning the management and leasing of the centers to KPP on behalf of a family trust.

Malone Commercial brokers 10-year lease for
restaurant at East Brown Cow property

Portland, ME East Brown Cow and Malone Commercial Brokers have arranged a 10-year lease for Baja California-style taco restaurant, Taco A Go Go, at Zero Canal Plaza. Taco A Go Go will be centrally located in a 1,350 s/f space and will be opening its doors to the public this summer.

Stallkamp of The Boulos Company brokers $4.25m deal for Baywood Hotels

Portsmouth, NH Baywood Hotels, a leading hotel management and development company, has purchased 165 Deer St., Lot 3 for $4.25 million from Foundry Place Hotel, LLC. The Boulos Company’s Christian Stallkamp brokered the deal on behalf of the seller.

LEGO Discovery reveals 20-foot giraffe
as part of $12 million renovation

Boston, MA LEGO Discovery Center Boston revealed an all-new 20-foot giraffe as part of the attraction’s refurbishment. The creation took features 22,000 LEGO DUPLO bricks. The LEGO Discovery Center, opening this spring, unveiled the new colorful giraffe as part of the $12 million renovation.
