East Hartford, CT United Steel has named Keith Corneau as president and CEO. Ken Corneau, company founder and former president and CEO, will take on the role as chairman of the board. The announcement comes as the manufacturer celebrates 45 years in business.

Keith began work at United Steel in 1997, sweeping the shop floors and rose through the ranks to become executive vice president in 2012. Under his leadership, United Steel has more than doubled annual revenues (now in excess of $100 million) and has grown to 225 employees. “This is a great honor, and I’m looking forward to continuing to move this United Steel forward for years to come,” said Keith Corneau. “I learned from the best while working side-by-side with Ken and the other executives at United Steel to understand every aspect of our business and how to be the best in the industry. We recognize that the work we do helps shape and affect the communities where we live, and I am proud to lead United Steel into an exciting future.”
