BOND project manager and historic restoration specialist Pamela Bailey, LEED AP, has been newly inducted as an overseer for the Boston Architectural College.
Bailey has more than 25 years of experience in the construction industry, much of it focused on the restoration and preservation of landmark buildings. Her most recent BOND projects involve two historically significant buildings at Harvard University's Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study; the completed restoration of the Agassiz House; and the ongoing façade restoration at the 83 Brattle St. Apartments.
Bailey 's extensive list of construction experience ranges from civic landmarks to buildings on academic campuses.
Her experience prior to joining BOND includes restoration projects at the Boston Public Library's McKim Building, Boston's Old State House and H.H. Richardson's Hayden Building, Emerson College's Cutler Majestic Theater, Harvard's Memorial Hall, and the Arnold Arboretum. Her dedication to promoting the restoration of historic buildings and the cultural heritage associated with these structures has led to numerous awards and recognition from organizations like the Mass. Historical Commission, Cambridge Historical Commission, and Boston Society of Architects.
Bailey has been a member of Preservation Massachusetts' board of directors since 2006, and board chairman from 2012 to 2015. Aside from historic preservation and restoration, her specialties include theatrical and performing arts installations, creative problem solving related to urban property re-use, historic structure maintenance, and renovation planning. She is a graduate of St. Lawrence University in New York.
