B.C. Tent & Awning provides tent for ribbon cutting of Father Bill’s & MainSpring’s Smith Family Housing Resource Center

Brockton, MA B.C. Tent & Awning participated in the January 24th ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new homeless complex at 124 Manley St., celebrating the opening of the Father Bill’s & MainSpring’s Smith Family Housing Resource Center, which will provide essential services to the homeless community.

The newly constructed 16,500 s/f facility features two dormitories with 128 shelter beds, a commercial kitchen and dining area, laundry services, and lockers. It will also house a healthcare unit staffed by the Brockton Neighborhood Health Center and an employment office to help individuals receive job training and find employment. Additionally, the Housing Resource Center includes an adjacent 15,000 s/f building with 32 individual permanent supportive housing units for long-term shelter residents. This new facility will replace the former Father Bill’s & MainSpring shelter, MainSpring House, located in downtown.

B.C. Tent supplied the tents, heat, power, furniture, and lighting for the ceremony, ensuring all the attendees stayed protected from the winter weather.

“We are honored to support the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Smith Family Housing Resource Center,” said Bob Costa, president of B.C. Tent & Awning Co. “This new facility represents a significant step forward in providing essential services to those in need, and we are proud to be a part of this important occasion.”
