Butler, St. John, McLaughlin and Byrne of Cushman & Wakefield broker $10 million sale of Battle Green Apartments

Cushman & Wakefield (C&W) completed the $10 million sale of Battle Green Apartments, a 48-unit apartment community. C&W's capital markets group, including Simon Butler, Biria St. John, Michael Byrne and John McLaughlin, exclusively represented the seller, Battle Green Apartments Trust, Curtis Kemeny, trustee, an affiliate of Boston Residential Group of Boston, and procured the buyer Hamilton Battle Green Apartments, LLC, an affiliate of The Hamilton Company of Boston. Battle Green Apartments is a 48 unit apartment community situated on a 4.11 acre site built in 1965 and renovated in 2006. The property is located 13 miles northwest of downtown Boston, in close proximity to Rte. 128/I-95 and Rte. 2A. The property is situated in Lexington Center near Battle Green on Worthen Rd. within walking distance to restaurants, shops, pharmacy and grocery store. The community is situated on a 4.11 acre site and consists of 48 apartments in 6, two-story colonial-style buildings. The renovations entailed all new roofs, windows, siding and trim and upgrades to common areas and unit interiors. The unit mix includes 24 one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartments and 24 two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartments. Units feature large well appointed living areas with parquet wood flooring, remodeled fully applianced kitchens with dishwasher, disposal and microwave, crown moldings in dining/living rooms, tiled bathrooms, two through-wall A/C units in each apartment, individually controlled central heat.
