Commodore Builders has been named one of The Boston Globe's 100 Best Places to Work in 2013.
Founded in 2002 by Joe Albanese, Commodore Bldrs. provides a full range of construction services, from project conception, to pre-construction, execution, close-out and warranty service. Unlike other firms, Commodore's executives are actively involved in every project.
They're in the field, leading project teams, listening to clients and driving the strategies that ensure successful project outcome.
Commodore has an open culture, based on performance and learning. Employees of the firm describe feeling acknowledged and appreciated for their work, while others note the firm's team atmosphere and the opportunity to balance professional and personal demands as being key differentiators.
Commodore credits its success to motivated employees who are able to deliver on the firm's "6 Qualities of Excellence", behaviors that enable employees to turn the company's mission into excellent execution for their clients. The qualities include the confidence to take charge, the capacity to anticipate, the ability to focus on the details, the spirit to collaborate, the creativity to innovate and the knowledge to problem-solve. Abiding by these guidelines and being measured by them allow employees to succeed and to set a new standard of excellence for the construction industry.
"We are honored that our employees' feedback has earned us a spot on this year's list," said Albanese. "It very rewarding to know our people love what they do. "Their happiness and satisfaction is extremely important to us. We're continually working to create an environment that meets their personal and professional needs. Happy people are productive and innovative and great to be around."
