DiGiorgio Assoc. completes design of D'Youville Life and Wellness Community
DiGiorgio Associates Inc. (DAI) recently completed the design of new assisted living residences and a memory care residence for D'Youville Life & Wellness Community.
This facility will provide another option for the city of Lowell and its surrounding communities through the continuum of care provided by D'Youville Life & Wellness Community. The addition of this facility not only betters the D'Youville community, but also serves as a great asset to Lowell. In addition to the services of the new facility, D'Youville also offers nursing home care, rehabilitation, independent living and hospice care.
DAI worked with D'Youville to develop programming requirements for their new facility housing 45 supportive assisted living units and 15 memory care units for residents with early memory loss. Assisted living resident amenities include a café/parlor, community enrichment center, wellness center, chapel, fitness room, hair salon and dining room. The memory care residence will have secured access and will contain 15 studio units with amenities such as dining, kitchen, family living room, reading, art and sunroom. These residents will have access to a private and secure outdoor garden space.
Construction is scheduled to begin in August and is expected to be completed in summer 2015.
Family and visitors are welcome to join residents for activities and dining, with access to a private room available for family functions. The finishes throughout the facility were selected to provide a warm and home-like setting, providing comfort for residents and accenting the colors and materials of nature.
