Eastern Edge food hall opens at Kendall Square spanning 11,000 s/f

Cambridge, MA Eastern Edge, Kendall Square’s new food hall featuring a curated mix of local food vendors, lively bar spaces, and flexible event venues, officially opened on February 13, 2026. This community destination, located at 290 Main St. in Kendall Square – adjacent to the Kendall/MIT T station on the Red Line – features a wide-ranging lineup of nine food and drink vendors, with the remaining four revealed with its grand opening.

Spanning 11,000 s/f, with seating for 275 guests, Eastern Edge stretches along an entire city block. Developed to encourage gathering, connection, and discovery, the inviting space features two bars with a rotating menu of craft cocktails, wines, regionally brewed beers, and non-alcoholic beverages. The location also offers flexible space and customizable options for private events.

Joining Eastern Edge’s lineup are Lone Star Taco Stand, the locally-owned Mexican street food concept, and Bacaro Café & Bar, a Venetian-inspired café and bar serving artisanal coffee, Italian pastries, and light fare by day, transforming into a bàcaro-style gathering spot for ciccheti, small plates, wine and more by evening. Rounding out the newcomers to the lineup are two micro-vendors offering grab-and-go specialties including Fuji Sushi and Chatty Patty.

These concepts join a dynamic and diverse roster of previously announced vendors including Clover, offering inventive sandwiches, bowls, soups, and salads made from incredibly fresh and locally sourced ingredients; Juicy Jay’s classic all-american burgers with a twist; Perillas Korean Kitchen, serving up flavor-packed Korean bibimbap bowls; Everybody Gotta Eat, widely loved for its crave-worthy fried chicken; and Việt Citron with its delicious Vietnamese street food favorites made fresh daily. Together, Eastern Edge’s vendors celebrate quality, authenticity, and accessibility, serving the Kendall Square community and visitors to the neighborhood.

Conceived with the assistance of the food, beverage and entertainment thought leaders at Colicchio Consulting and developed, curated and led by the team at Gather Group, renowned for creating memorable hospitality experiences, Eastern Edge is poised to break new ground. The Gather Group’s focus brings together best-in-class vendors that reflect both the cultural and culinary diversity of Cambridge and Greater Boston.

“We’re thrilled to open Eastern Edge and welcome the community to a vibrant space designed for connection, creativity and great food and drink,” said Hans van der Reijden, founder & CEO of Gather Group. “Our goal has always been to highlight the incredible talent of local chefs and operators while creating a place where everyone can gather, explore new flavors, and feel at home. We can’t wait to share this experience with our guests!”

Designed by the team at Eimer Design, Eastern Edge pays homage to the building’s legacy as home to The Suffolk Engraving & Electrotyping Co., while embracing the innovative spirit of Kendall Square. The design layers contemporary finishes with organic forms, biophilic accents, and exposed historical elements, creating an environment that’s as inviting as it is forward-thinking.
