Chestnut Hill, MA The Street Chestnut Hill signs The RealReal, an online marketplace for authenticated resale luxury goods, to open its first Massachusetts location at the property in late 2026. Marking a new milestone for the brand’s brick-and-mortar expansion, the store will introduce Boston-area shoppers to The RealReal’s selection of unique luxury handbags, jewelry, watches, clothing, shoes, and accessories, from designers including Chanel, Gucci, The Row and Cartier, all authenticated by trained experts.

Founded in 2011, The RealReal was created to bring authenticated luxury resale to a broader audience and redefine how people buy and sell high-end goods. What began as a vision to make luxury more accessible has grown into a trusted, expert-driven marketplace built on the principles of circularity, transparency, and access. Today, The RealReal is the category leader pioneering the circular economy through its rigorous authentication process and curated resale model.

The Street Chestnut Hill location will be fully localized, featuring a curated assortment of products based on customer demand, seasonality, trends, and local style preferences. Every item will be one of one, offering shoppers a bespoke luxury experience. The store’s design will also be unique to Chestnut Hill and will incorporate interior elements from local artisans.

The store will showcase classic luxury handbags from iconic designers like Louis Vuitton, Gucci, and Chanel, ready-to-wear from Brunello Cucinelli, Burberry, and The Row, and fine jewelry and watches from sought-after collections such as Cartier LOVE and Tank and Tiffany T and HardWear. It will also offer in-person luxury consignment services, with expert valuation, authentication, and pricing for high-value handbags, jewelry, and watches, as well as remote valuation options. Additional services include seamless drop-off consignment, buy online & pick up in store, client transfers to the store for high-value items, and flexible in-store and online returns.

“Our strategy is to meet our consignors and customers where they live, shop and spend their everyday lives,” said Samantha McCandless, chief merchandising officer, The ReaReal. “Convenience is incredibly important. We analyze zip codes in the area and select where we have a high concentration of current customers as well as growth opportunities for new ones. The Street met this need for our first Boston area store. The lifestyle destination, sitting right outside of Boston, connects the region’s most affluent and engaged communities.”

“Welcoming The RealReal to The Street represents a meaningful moment as we continue to expand our luxury and fashion offerings,” said Emmy Parsons, general manager of The Street Chestnut Hill. “Their expert-curated, one-of-one approach, along with the opportunity for our community to consign luxury pieces locally, aligns seamlessly with the elevated, best-in-class retail experiences we strive to deliver. We’re proud to be the partner bringing The RealReal’s first brick-and-mortar location in Massachusetts to life.”
