Charlestown, MA NAI Hunneman recently completed a 12,901 s/f lease transaction with Community Research Initiative (CRI) at The Schrafft’s Center. The independent, non-profit, community based organization is relocating its operations from 38 Chauncy St. in Downtown Crossing.

NAI Hunneman executive vice president Peter Evans and associate Brooke Blue represented CRI in the transaction, while the Molly Heath and John Osten represented landlord The Flatley Company.

“The Schrafft’s Center was the perfect fit for CRI offering first-class space within a transit- oriented, urban destination, while at the same time providing considerable savings in terms of monthly rent; an important consideration for a non-profit like CRI,” said Evans.

“Despite loving our downtown location we needed to find space that was more cost effective to our bottom line,” said CRI executive director Julie Marston. “The NAI Hunneman team conducted an exhaustive search of the area and presented numerous options with extensive analysis on each property and market. In the end Peter and Brooke found us a space that met both our immediate and long-term needs while allowing us to remain in close proximity to downtown with access to amenities and public transportation.”

Community Research Initiative (CRI) is an independent, nonprofit, community-based organization in New England dedicated to HIV and hepatitis C clinical research, treatment education, and financial assistance for approved HIV drug treatments and health insurance coverage.
