McIntyre named director of business development at Shawmut Design and Construction

Shawmut Design and Construction has appointed Terry McIntyre director of business development in the company's sports venue group. In this position, McIntyre will be tasked with expanding existing client relationships and creating new partnerships. "Terry brings more than 30 years of experience working with many of the most exciting brands in sports to Shawmut," said Randy Shelly, director of sports venues. "His background in sports and creating strategic partnerships will play an important role as Shawmut continues to grow market share in this sector." McIntyre most recently served as sports marketing director for USA Today. Employed by the publication for 18 years, he managed business operations for America's Sports Daily and built strategic partnerships with professional leagues, associations and brands, including: the National Football League; NASCAR; the NCAA; the PGA Tour; Anheuser-Busch; Nike; FedEx; IBM; Bank of America; ESPN and others. "Based on Shawmut's exceptional track record and rapid growth within the sports venues market, I'm thrilled to join their team," said McIntyre. "I'm excited to be able share Shawmut's unique expertise. We build fan experience, which often includes the addition and integration of the latest and best elements at new and old stadiums alike. This specialized building capability is precisely what the sports facilities industry needs and wants right now."
