Newmark negotiates $25 million sale of 74,383 s/f Stop & Shop - purchased by Bailard Real Estate Fund

Mansfield, MA Newmark orchestrated the $25 million sale of 377 Chauncy St., a 74,383 s/f shopping center master leased by Stop & Shop. Newmark co-head of U.S. capital markets Robert Griffin, vice chairman Geoffrey Millerd and director Paul Penman, in cooperation with managing director Mat Adler, of the firm’s Boston and Mid-Atlantic capital markets groups represented the seller and procured the buyer, Bailard Real Estate Fund.

Hale of O,R&L Comm’l. leases 3,000 s/f to NBA Discount Liquors

Hartford, CT Andrew Hale of O,R&L Commercial, LLC has leased 3,000 s/f retail space. The space is located at 408 New Britain Ave. and is part of a one-story, 14,000 s/f retail plaza.  The location was formerly occupied by a furniture store. Hale represented the owner, Brothers Investments, LLC, and the tenant, NBA Discount Liquors. 

Taub joins M&M as VP/nat’l. director of retail

CALABASAS, CA Daniel Taub has joined Marcus & Millichap as a senior vice president and national director of its retail division. Taub has over 25 years of experience in the retail sector. He most recently served as managing director for DMT CRE Advisors, a New York-based commercial real estate advisory firm.

Summit Realty signs Crumbl Cookies to 1,776 s/f at The Loop

Methuen, MA According to Summit Realty Partners, Crumbl Cookies has signed a lease and opened a new store at The Loop. Crumbl Cookies leased a 1,776 s/f end-cap space formerly occupied by Starbucks prior to Starbucks relocating to a freestanding building in the same shopping center.

Tilton, NH C-Store Investments, LLC (CSI) is a Northeast based consulting firm that provides advisory services to the convenience store and retail petroleum industry. CSI has provided advisory and transactional services to George C. Stafford and Sons, Inc. on the sale of two of their convenience stores to TEJYASH, LLC. Particularly, CSI handled the sale process of two convenience retail stores with gasoline in Tilton and Hillsborough, N.H.

Angel Commercial brokers $3.905m sale of former Joe’s American

Fairfield, CT The former site of Joe’s American Bar & Grill Restaurant has sold for $3.905 million, according to Jon Angel, president of Angel Commercial, LLC.  The deal included the adjacent land at 42 Eliot St., where Colonial Haircutters continues to operate. Collectively, the properties have 305 linear feet of frontage on the Post Rd.

Colonial Properties completes five leases totaling 16,000 s/f

Milford, CT According to Michael Richetelli, president and designated broker of Colonial Properties, Inc., the company has completed the following transactions:     • Richetelli was the sole broker in the leasing of 1590 Boston Post Rd., a 2,700 s/f free-standing restaurant building for a five-year term. The building, previously tenanted by Smashburger, will be the future home of Tropical Smoothie Café, a fast casual food franchise.
