Within your firm, who has helped you succeed within the industry? How have they helped you? At Patriquin Architects, I can’t think of anyone who hasn’t helped me succeed within the industry. One person who has helped me immensely has been Max Ballardo.
Starting out in the construction business, who or what empowered you? My mom has been in the construction industry since I was young. She is the one who encouraged me to apply for positions at A/E/C firms and has continuously supported my work and celebrated my accomplishments.
Starting out in the construction business, who or what empowered you? I tend to naturally lean into a challenge, so to a large degree I am self-motivated and self-empowered. Even in college, I loved being one of the few women in my classes.
What was your greatest professional achievement or most notable project in the last 12 months? Within the last 12 months I was given the opportunity to pivot my career. I relocated from Ohio to the East Coast, and from the service industry to now supporting DPS construction management

I have had an amazing experience working with the construction management team at DPS: My fellow procurement specialist, MaryLyke Moattari, has a positive, cheerful attitude that can brighten up anyone’s day.
What was your greatest professional achievement or most notable project in the last 12 months? After being in the construction world for the last 15 years I am proud to be working for a strong WBE lead by Molly Pidgeon.
