Steffian Bradley Architects promotes Wilson, Kurokawa and Foxlin

Boston, MA Steffian Bradley Architects (SBA) has promoted Teresa Wilson AIA, LEED AP to managing director, Ai Kurokawa, AIA, LEED AP to operations director, and Susan Chu Foxlin AIA, IIDA, LEED AP has been named design director.

Wilson, a graduate of University of Michigan (B.Arch/M.Arch), has worked at SBA Boston for the majority of her 24 years of professional practice. Wilson has served as healthcare planner for SBA and SBA’s strategic planning group Sterling Planning Alliance (Sterling), and as principal-in-charge of healthcare projects throughout New England.  Her experience with SBA and Sterling, along with her expertise in integrating innovations in healthcare design for our clients, mentoring, and implementation of strategic improvements internally has helped prepare Wilson for her new management role. Wilson will continue to spend most of her time working directly with clients focusing on planning concepts, master planning, programming, LEAN design and fostering collaborative and responsive team relationships.

Kurokawa, a graduate of Boston University (B. Arts) and Boston Architectural College (M.Arch), has worked at SBA Boston for over 17 years, serving as project manager, studio staffing manager, and principal. Kurokawa’s strengths in consensus building, managing multiple complex tasks, and bringing out the best of a team to bring project needs to fruition will directly apply to her operations role at SBA. Her expertise in studio staff planning and project management design efforts for our clients as well as internally at SBA has helped prepare Kurokawa for her new internal management role. Kurokawa will continue to spend the majority of her time working directly on all phases of her projects utilizing her incredible skills and positive outlook for project organization and project details for the benefit of our clients.

Chu Foxlin, a graduate of the Tsinghua University in Beijing (B.Arch) and MIT (M.Arch), has worked internationally and has over 27 years in practice in the U.S. Foxlin is a passionate, enthusiastic and versatile designer conversant in both interior and exterior design, with extensive experience in healthcare, higher education and life sciences. Her unique background allows her to “design the experience” by crafting a seamlessly cohesive architectural environment and many of her projects have received national and regional design awards. Her strong design values respect the client’s vision through a collaborative team effort that includes the total integration of architecture and interior design, a hallmark of SBA’s practice.
