What was your greatest achievement or most notable project in the last 12 months? Without a doubt, my most notable achievement has been acting as CM&B’s COVID guru. With offices in Massachusetts and New York, and project sites throughout New England and the Tri-State area

Starting out in the construction business, who or what empowered you? My dad was an associate professor at Wentworth and on weekends he would bring me to the campus when he was teaching a class, where I would wander around the property. My dad was my rock and he pushed
Starting out in the construction business, who or what empowered you? My mother worked in real estate on the Cape and I helped her out during the summer. I have a degree in arts education but hadn’t realized you could leverage art and real estate as a career. I started at the Boston Architectural College (BAC) before transferring to NESAD
Why should women consider a career in construction? What is most empowering about being a woman in the construction sector is to see your design come to life. Women should consider a career in construction/interior design because you have the power to influence how people work
How have you adapted and changed in the last 12 months? I enjoyed taking advantage of spending more time with my husband and daughter while being able to work from home full time. This created a different type of juggling act of schedules and priorities including the line between work life and home life.
What was your greatest professional achievement or most notable project in the last 12 months? We provide temporary tent and awning structures across a wide range of industries, sometimes as a complement to ongoing construction. Last year was totally different than most
How have you adapted and changed in the last 12 months? The past year has certainly had its challenges in the field amid Covid-19. Personally, being pregnant during the pandemic in the field brought its own set of challenges.
What was your greatest professional achievement or most notable project in the last 12 months? Windover recently completed a life science lab fitout project, and as the Estimator it was both challenging and rewarding for me. The project was complex in part because the end users were multiple user groups
What was your greatest professional achievement or most notable project in the last 12 months? I was fortunate to be a part of a recent Shawmut build for Future Chefs in Boston. A non-profit started by Toni Elka in 2008, Future Chefs provides youth with mentorship as well as life
Why should women consider a career in construction? Women should consider a career in construction because there’s no better feeling than being able to see the result of a project that you managed and developed with your team from start to completion.

Work in construction yields tangible, visible results and there is tremendous pride in seeing the contributions of your work
