The Overlook at St. Gabriel’s honored with 2021 MHN Award

Brighton, MA The Overlook at St. Gabriel’s, the new hilltop residential community located at 161-185 Washington St., was presented with a 2021 Gold Multi-Housing News (MHN) Excellence Award for Best Adaptive Reuse. The virtual ceremony to recognize the winners was held on December 2.

The annual MHN Excellence Awards are designed to recognize the multifamily industry’s most noteworthy people, companies, and properties. Winners are selected by a panel of judges with expertise across all multifamily disciplines.

“Working with Cabot, Cabot & Forbes and The Overlook at St. Gabriel’s team has been a wonderful experience,” said Serena Rose-Ciccarello of PeakMade Real Estate and community manager of The Overlook at St. Gabriel’s. “The care and attention to detail put into the full restoration is a key piece of what attracts our residences. A historic site, with full modern amenities, has made The Overlook at St. Gabriel’s a strong new addition to the Brighton neighborhood and fully deserving of this prestigious award.”

The second annual virtual event featured a keynote address from 2021 Excellence Awards Executive of the Year, Lili Dunn, president of Bell Partners, and a sit-down session with Ron Terwilliger, the 2021 recipient of MHN’s Lifetime Achievement Award. The event announced all 2021 Excellence Winners and included additional panels to discuss topics pertaining to multifamily investors, developers, and marketers.

The Overlook at St. Gabriel’s is also the recipient of a Preservation Massachusetts 2021 Mayor Thomas M. Menino Legacy Award, the 2021 Boston Preservation Alliance Preservation Award, and a 2021 Student Housing Business Innovator Award. The awards honor the historic preservation efforts of the project and the positive impact it has had on its community.

Most recently, The Overlook at St. Gabriel’s reached a leasing milestone with 95% of units leased.
