The Procopio Companies hires Geary as CFO

Middleton, MA The Procopio Companies (Procopio) has hired Neil Geary to the role of CFO. Geary will be the firm’s first CFO in its 70-plus year history.

At Procopio, Geary will be responsible for the financial oversight of Procopio’s rapidly-expanding portfolio. In recent years, the company has seen unprecedented growth, with concurrent annual development volume growing from $3.27 million in 2010 to $388 million in 2021. Geary will also play a pivotal role in Procopio’s continued growth into new markets across the New England region and beyond, as he oversees all financial activity for the firm.

“Neil’s longstanding experience serving in senior financial roles at real estate development organizations makes him an excellent addition to the Procopio team,” said Mike Procopio, CEO of Procopio.

Geary possesses more than 25 years of experience in real estate development and financial management, previously working at three private development firms in Massachusetts, and a REIT in Washington, D.C. His experience spans multiple asset classes including mixed-use properties, hotels, commercial real estate, and residential projects, with significant involvement in ground-up developments. He has overseen a wide array of financial activities throughout his career, including private equity investments, construction loans and permanent loans.
