Canton, MA Timberline Construction Corp. has hired Jim Davis, LEED AP as director of preconstruction services. In his new role Davis will focus on providing an exceptional level of service for their clients early in their process of evaluating options, budget and the constructability of their upcoming projects. Davis will draw upon his 15 years of experience representing owners to ensure thorough project evaluation and identification of critical resources to successfully complete construction.

The preconstruction process can often be challenging and sometimes completely overlooked. The importance of getting correct information early on can make or break the success of a construction project – the more reliable the upfront information, the more predictable the outcome.

Timberline understands that getting the sequencing and cadence of the project due-diligence right, enables clients to have peace of mind during the overall construction process. With Davis leading preconstruction, their services become a true differentiator for their clients.

“The addition of Jim to our team increases Timberline’s ability to add value to our client’s projects early in their exploratory phase” said Karl Ginand, EVP of preconstruction and estimating services. “With Jim’s deep experience on the owner’s side he is the perfect addition to our team to work with our clients to understanding the feasibility, budgeting and scheduling of any construction project.”

“Through conversations with the Timberline team, it was clear to me that the company was at a point of growth where my background in both construction and the owner’s side would complement their strong momentum in the market,” Davis said. “We have shared values of exceptional work and client satisfaction, so I was excited by the opportunity to help grow their preconstruction, planning and project management services.”

Davis joins Timberline most recently from Cushman & Wakefield where he was vice president/project management director in Boston. He has partnered with owners along with some of the best design teams, bringing extensive project management, construction, procurement and estimating experience to the team.
