The Marr Companies adds two to senior management positions

Boston, MA Jeffrey Marr Jr. has been promoted to vice president, business development for The Marr Companies. For the past year Marr Jr. has been serving as manager of business development, a new position established at Marr Scaffolding Company at the end of 2017.  Prior to that, Marr Jr. served as the aerial lift & swing stage sales representative / project manager for the Greater Boston and Cambridge area. He started with Marr Scaffolding Co. in 2008 as operations coordinator. 

Golden joins The Davis Companies as vice president of development

Boston, MA The Davis Companies has hired Rickie Golden as vice president of development. In this position, Golden will focus on permitting efforts for several Boston development projects. Golden, who has over 10 years of experience in pre-development work, permitting, zoning and development, had previously been the president of JECSP, a spin-off company of Corcoran Jennison Cos., where she created/sourced three potential off-market, complex, large-scale projects in Boston, totaling $3 billion and 230 acres. Prior to Corcoran, Golden worked for Continental Ventures Realty in New York and for The Museum of Modern Art in New York.

It is my honor and privilege to serve as chair of ABC Massachusetts as we enter the new year.  I’d like to start by acknowledging the hard work and dedication of outgoing chair John Anderson, as well as president and CEO Greg Beeman and the entire staff, who work diligently on behalf of our members.   We are in the midst of a five-year strategic plan that includes three primary goals: Workforce development, membership development and legislative effectiveness.  And I’m happy to say that we have made significant progress on each of them.

PROCON completes first dual-branded Marriott Hotel - XSS Hotels is developer of Residence Inn/Fairfield

Waltham, MA The 117,000 s/f Residence Inn/Fairfield by Marriott at 250 Second Ave. celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon cutting. XSS Hotels was the developer and PROCON was the designer and construction manager.

JM Coull to design-build Waters Corp.’s manufacturing expansion - project team includes Industrial Facilities Design, NV5 and BSC Group

Taunton, MA JM Coull (JMC) has been retained by Waters Corp. to expand its current manufacturing facility. Waters is making a $215 million investment in expanding its manufacturing facility with a 135,000 s/f addition.

Lowell, ma Wayne J. Griffin Electric, Inc. completed the electrical installation work for the historical renovation of Middlesex Community College’s Academic Arts Center.  The 18,000 s/f, two-story building is listed on State and National Registers of Historic Places.
