What are your predictions for commercial real estate in 2020? There will continue to be segments of the market that will be in demand such as home health care, warehouse space and medical uses seeking to locate to anchored retail plazas.
What was your most notable project, deal or transaction in 2019? Completing the permitting in Brookline of nearly 600 units and a 210 room hotel, where process started in 2006.
What are your predictions for commercial real estate in 2020? We have had a long period of construction growth and have seen many successful developments. I see 2020 as a time of caution with our clients as they look at new projects. They are bypassing some deals as overpriced or not feasible.
What was your most notable project, deal or transaction in 2019? Over the past few years, Vantage Builders has developed a strong presence in the cannabis construction industry and we continued that in 2019, with close to a dozen cultivation and dispensary projects.
What was your greatest professional accomplishment in 2019? This year we were delighted to announce that Longwood Venues + Destinations has signed a long-term lease for our historic 101 Arlington St., rebranding it as The Tower, a unique venue for events and exhibitions, private and public, national and international.
What was your greatest professional accomplishment in 2019? DiPrete Engineering has a staff of land planners, surveyors and engineers. Because of this we often get involved in projects early on via survey or land planning and it is exciting to see them form at concept level and ultimately get constructed and occupied.

I love to build new partnerships, engage with communities to learn how a project can benefit their neighborhood, and work together towards common goals. Bringing in a Newport Realty Group (based in Southington) to be approved for and construct a $15 million mixed-use development on a town-owned parcel by the train station. This project will include 76 market rate apartments and 19,000 s/f of medical office, retail and restaurant space.
