Why the A/E/C Industry? My first job in the A/E/C industry was working for a developer who had a construction division. I worked as a project coordinator with a group of project managers and became very involved in the construction process.

Why the A/E/C Industry? I stumbled into the construction industry by accident, stayed for the paycheck, and thrived because of the dynamic challenge of the industry. My first exposure to construction was a college dormitory project in London.

Why the A/E/C Industry? I became interested in Architecture once reaching high school. But when introduced to the construction classes at Wentworth, I found myself drawn to the actual building, planning and estimating processes rather than the design portion of the project.

Why the A/E/C Industry? I always enjoyed the industry, and thought growing up that I would become an architect, but through the co-op process at Wentworth I found that the general contractors side of the industry was the best combination of everything I enjoyed.

Why the A/E/C Industry? Growing up a farm kid we built things all the time, and every summer I had a project. We spent hours building forts and mazes with bales of straw and hay. It was an amazing way to grow up because I quickly learned that you could create something amazing with the things around you.

Advice/Keys to Success: My main piece of advice to anyone is to listen. It takes time to understand the process and how the parts come together. Whether you graduated with a formal education or entered the trades directly, there is so much to be learned from your peers.

What was your most notable project in 2017? Being that I represent a software company (Autodesk), the most notable work comes from our customers. I am inspired every day by the work that they do. Whether it is a building here down the street from my office in Boston, to one in China ,the work done by our customers continues to stand as examples that inspire others around us.
