What made you interested in seeking a career in the AEC industry? I was drawn to engineering because I have always preferred math and science to the humanities. What tips or advice would you offer to other women who are considering entering the construction industry? Six years ago, I made the most daring change in my career, I took a leap of faith and left the nutrition field for construction management and today I couldn’t be more grateful.

Initially, I was just an 18-year-old high school graduate looking for a job but after 11 years of experience and education in this industry, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the vital role construction plays in shaping our world.

What was your greatest professional achievement or most notable project in the last 12 months? My greatest professional achievement in the last 12 months has been the opportunities I have had to teach young women about the career potential in the industry and serve as a mentor to future leaders.

What was your greatest professional achievement or most notable project in the last 12 months? What made you interested in seeking a career in the AEC industry? I got started in the industry because of my dad who was an associate professor at Wentworth. After my freshman year of college, I applied for different co-op positions within the civil engineering department.

What was your greatest professional achievement or most notable project in the last 12 months? In the last 12 months, I have been working alongside my team to kick off a 179-unit renovation project. During the first phase of renovation, we uncovered a number of unforeseen conditions that required a great deal of collaboration to solve.

What was your greatest professional achievement or most notable project in the last 12 months? Almost exactly 12 months ago I decided to make the jump from architecture to construction. It was an intimidating change to make, but I’m so happy I did.
