SLAM Collaborative part of Hallam-ICS team awarded $30 million GSA nationwide BIM contract

The SLAM Collaborative is part of a team led by Hallam-ICS that has been awarded a $30 million, five-year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract by the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) for Nationwide Building Information Modeling (BIM) services. Hallam-ICS, an engineering, controls integration, and commissioning firm will lead a team of BIM experts including: The SLAM Collaborative; McFarland-Johnson (NH); Blach Construction Company (CA); Quattrocchi Kwok Architects (CA); Gregory P. Luth & Associates (CA); HMH I (CA); Hitchcock Consulting (CA); and Olof Granlund (Helsinki). The GSA, a world leader in the development and implementation of BIM, is responsible for meeting the space requirements of federal agencies. To assure a high standard of excellence for the American public, GSA engages the best private-sector architects and engineers to design, renovate, and construct federal buildings. The contract covers a wide range of BIM design and implementation services including: * 2D drawing transformation and BIM development * BIM analysis and application * 3D laser scanning * 4D Modeling * clash detection * integration of multiple models, analyses, and software * development of facilities management turnover data * BIM implementation training support * Development of applications GSA selected the Hallam-ICS team from over 100 proposal submissions. The contract covers projects in GSA Zones A and C which include GSA Regions: (1) New England, (2) Northeast and Caribbean, (3) Mid-Atlantic, (11) National Capital and Central Office, (8) Rocky Mountain, (9) Pacific Rim, and (10) Northwest/Arctic.
