One of the accomplishments I’m most proud of was taking over a contract to support a project that we were not originally contracted for. The situation called for immediate manpower and materials, requiring my crew and me to be on site 24/7, Friday through Monday,

Growing up, I was exposed to commercial real estate through my dad, who began as a developer before moving into brokerage. Seeing the strategy, negotiation, and real-world impact of his work sparked my early interest.

Bernie, as most people knew him, did everything out of the truck of his old Jaguar. He taught me a lot about people, negotiation, patience and more. I was introduced to construction at a young age, spending summers working for my parents’ landscape construction company. That experience gave me a strong appreciation for hands-on work and how projects come together.

From a young age I have always been interested in construction equipment and building things from the sandbox to Legos as a child and never really strayed away from that path in life. To see that obsession through from a young age and turning it into a career where everyday we are faced with new projects with new problems

My educational background is in engineering, but I was always drawn to the people and collaboration behind the work. I’ve always been motivated by the idea of creating spaces that bring people together and support how they live and work. To me, that is what commercial real estate is all about.
What accomplishment or project so far in your career are you most proud of? Being named the director of business development for UFP Site Built has been my greatest accomplishment in my career. I am surrounded by decades of experience within our company and receiving the opportunity to have a seat at the table with a fresh new perspective at the executive level, to shape the future of UFP Site Built is a great honor.
