O’Connell promoted to vice president at Hancock Associates

Danvers, MA According to Hancock Associates, a leading provider of land surveying, civil engineering and wetland science services, Joanne O’Connell has been promoted to vice president. O’Connell is the firm’s director of administration and human resources. In her role as vice president, she will continue to assist in day-to-day operations and grow her presence and responsibilities with the company’s owners, managers and employees.

Since joining Hancock in 2020 as manager of administrative services, O’Connell has undertaken a myriad of roles and quickly became the “go-to” person in the firm. Hancock’s board of directors unanimously voted for the promotion based on her leadership across all offices, departments and positions, ability to regularly initiate new ideas, initiatives, opportunities, processes and improvements and commitment to the company’s growth and success.

O’Connell has nearly 25 years of experience in business administration, human resources, accounting and marketing and holds a bachelor of science degree in Business Management from Salem State University.
