Wilder adds Freeport Village Station to East Coast portfolio - 122,121 s/f

Freeport, ME Wilder, a real estate development, management, and leasing firm, has assumed management and leasing responsibilities at Freeport Village Station. The property, spans 3.6-acres and includes 122,121 s/f of retail space, as well as a 520-space parking garage. Wilder now manages over 50 retail and mixed-use properties along the East Coast of the U.S. with the addition of Freeport Village Station.

Horvath & Tremblay completes sale of Plymouth IHOP for $2.1 million

Plymouth, MA Bob Horvath and Todd Tremblay of Horvath & Tremblay have completed the sale of IHOP. Horvath & Tremblay exclusively represented the seller and procured the buyer to complete the transaction at a sale price of $2.1 million.  The IHOP is located at 10 Shops at 5 Way. IHOP has been at this location since 2011 and has 2+ years remaining on their triple net lease.

NAI Glickman Kovago & Jacobs brokers multiple leases at Timpany Crossroads

Gardner, MA NAI Glickman Kovago & Jacobs, representing Timpany Crossroads, LLC, facilitated multiple leases within the newly developed Timpany Crossroads Plaza at 308-320 West Bdwy. The plaza, which commenced construction in 2020 and concluded in 2023, features two multi-tenant retail buildings and a 7,000 s/f restaurant pad site.

Eastern Real Estate adds two food retailers at University Mall, VT

South Burlington, VT University Mall (UMall) has followed through with the addition of two fast casual options. Dave’s Hot Chicken will open its first location in Vermont, while Jersey Mike’s Subs will open their second location. Dave’s Hot Chicken is known for their hot chicken, which started as a late-night pop up by three friends in a West Hollywood parking lot.

Simon Property Group brings five retailers to Rockingham Park in 2024

It doesn’t get much better. Demand for retail space exceeds supply. Vacancy rates for retail are low in the Boston area. Boston along with Miami and Raleigh, North Carolina tied for the lowest vacancy rates at 2.9% this quarter and this has been a continuing trend, according to industry trackers. Retail tenants are searching for space, and malls that have reinvented themselves are back in favor.
